Why is it important to record and document my company’s corporate events?
This is one of the questions that is asked frequently, especially with the costs associated with professional video production. There are a few reasons I would personally recommend documenting your corporate events: Morale, Credibility, and Legacy.
When someone is looking into your company, oftentimes the image you portray is just as important as the work that you do. Are you employees happy? Do they feel like they are valued? Internal testimonials are a powerful tool in showing the quality of your company’s culture. Companies with happier employees are more productive, and your potential clients know this. Because of this, it is very important that you document steps that you take to involve yourself (and your company) in the local community and in other charitable escapades in a video format. The reason why it is recommended to showcase this in a video format, is that video is the most popular (and most effective) form of communication today!
Continuing on, the look and in context actions your company takes is just as important to showcase. If your company prides itself in the work and processes it takes to produce a high quality product or service, it is very important that you showcase this to your potential clientele. You also want to make sure that the level of production of your video work at least matches the level that your company is at within your industry. It is for this reason that we don’t record videos for high end companies using our smartphones. What you use to document your company's work can directly affect how people perceive it. We understand that you have a story to tell, and it needs to reflect the pride and prestige of your work.
Finally, Legacy. In having all of these video assets, you can build on your credibility and your legacy. What does it mean to have a lot of history, if it was never documented properly? Humans have been telling stories since the dawn of time, and nowadays is no different. The more you have to engage your audience, the more that they will trust you to fulfill whatever promises that you make when it comes to what your organization offers.
Your story is important, the small parts and the large parts. We here at Richie Media want to tell your story with you.
